Last week before I left for my trip to Costa Rica, my mom and I had to go and open up our summer home in Connecticut.  It was a gloriously sunny day perfect for a stroll at low tide.  After doing what we needed to do at the house we took a little walk and snapped a few photos to remember the beautiful day and one of the first days of nice weather! To avoid the rush hour traffic we got take out from our favorite Italian restaurant (I had my first calamari of the season! delish!) and brought it back to the house to eat on the deck so we could take in the beautiful sunset across the street at the beach.  Days like those are what summer is all about.  It was a great day and way to start summer break.

The outfit I am wearing was the perfect attire for a day by the shore.  It wasn’t super warm so a pair of crisp white pants were the right call.  A pair of white jeans are a staple in every closet and can be worn with so many options. However to make the look feel a little more summery I paired the pants with my new favorite gingham tank top. There are no words for this top. Just pure perfection. It is so comfortable and airy but also in the print of the summer; gingham.  This top is such a steal at less than $13. But hurry! It is almost sold out!  Old Navy is one of my favorite stores and this top just proves that you don’t have to spend a lot or buy designer clothes to look put together and fashion forward!
